Lachung
Lachung is a town in northeast Sikkim, India. It is located in the North Sikkim district and is near the border with Tibet. North Sikkim is now one of the most traveled destinations of India. It is nestled in the high hills, forests, glaciers and snowy mountains; it’s simply a place which any one can remember throughout the life. The gate way of North Sikkim is Gangtok. Number of beautiful falls, some are flowing on road, flowers and the beauty of the hills will not allow any one to close their eye.

The most romantic part of North Sikkim is Yumthang Valley, situated at an altitude of 12000 ft- and its beauty can be compared with the picture perfect beauty of Switzerland. In spring, this valley remains covered with variety of wild flowers like Rhododendron and Primulas bath the landscape in rich colours and seems to be “RIOT OF COLURS”. During winter one can experience heavy to very heavy snowfall here. But the beauty of Yumthang Valley remains incomplete without warm hospitality of Lachung village people.
